COMMUNITY PROFILE

Solbot International Fashion and Catering School is situated in Elerinko community at Ijoko area. This is sandwich between ijoko- otta area of Sango Otta. It is a gateway between Lagos and Ogun state. It is a peace-loving community with different ethnic groups in Nigeria. The community begins to thrive after moving the school to this present location. One of our facilities where we teach event management has been the focal point where the people of the community hold their various events, with a minimal fee of course. The school has become the pride of the community. It offers job opportunities and empowerment first and foremost to the local people.

SCHOOL PROFILE

Solbot international fashion and catering school was incorporated in 1992. It was originally situated at 22 Oyinlola Street, Akowonjo, Lagos State. We moved to the present location 31 Durojaiye Jasper Avenue, formally called Olorunayo Avenue.

The school specialises in training people with different background to learn various kinds of vocational skills. Presently the school offers training in the following courses;

· Fashion designing,

· Hairdressing,

· Make-Up and Gele,

· Catering and Hotel Management.

The school is managed by experienced professionals with many years expertise in their various fields.

The school is registered with Ogun State Government Ministry of Education and it is Certified by National Business and Technical Examinations Board. NABTEB.

THE PREMISES

The school has 3 buildings, the one at 31 Durojaiye Jasper Avenue is the fashion school, the catering school is at 7 Durojaiye Jasper Avenue. While the ultra-modern hostel accommodation is at 5 Markaz street. All the buildings are within the radius of 5-minute walks.

ENROLLMENT.

The total number of students enrolled on various courses for the year 2021 and 2022 school year is approximately 170, with more than 10 professional staff members assigned to cater for them.

We do have an open-door policy for enrolment, because people come from different background with different financial capacity. The school practice a progressive system that allow anyone with different level of skill to fit into any of our progressive classes.

Minimum entry requirement is primary six holder certificate up to university degree holders and personal passion in any of our courses with the commitment to excel.

CURRICULUM.

At Solbot International Fashion and Catering School, we strive to provide the highest standard of training facilities with well-equipped classrooms.

In the fashion designing classrooms, we have facilities such as; straight industrial machines, industrial weaving machines, Stoning machines, manual weaving machines, beading machines etc. Courses offered in this section, ranges from pattern drafting, fashion illustration and clothing construction with its own curriculum.

In the catering school, there are facilities like; industrial gas cooker, bread making oven, shawarma stand, barbeque stands, fridge and freezers, various types of food processors, juice extracting machines, chocolate moulds etc. Courses offered are food production and service, event decoration and hotel management. All the course units have their own syllabuses and course outlines that are strictly followed.

Syllabus is being provided for each level / class, from basic to the advanced level.
